MEDICAL AND NON-MEDICAL FEATURES

Emergency Medical Treatment
Up to $5 million CAD for unforeseen medical emergencies including COVID-19, mental health protection, hospital stays, physician fees, lab tests, x-rays, prescriptions, casts, wheelchair rentals and more.
Emergency Dental Expenses
Reimbursement of dental treatment due to an accident at the destination.
Medical Repatriation
When medically necessary, covers flight or air ambulance to bring a traveller to a medical facility back home.
Return of Vehicle
Return of a traveller's private or rental vehicle if they are hospitalized or unable to drive home.
Family Transportation
If a traveller is hospitalized for 3 consecutive days, an immediate family member or friend will be brought to them.
Vision Care and Hearing Aid
Up to $300 CAD to replace prescription eyeglasses and up to $200 CAD to replace hearing aids at the destination due to theft, loss, or breakage.
Pet Care, Pet Return, and Commercial Kennel Costs
Emergency veterinary treatment: Up to $300 CAD if a pet is injured while travelling.

Pet return: Up to $500 CAD to return a traveller's pet home.

Commercial kennel costs: Up to $300 CAD for kennel costs when a return home is delayed due to a medical emergency.
Child Care
Up to $1000 CAD reimbursed for child care costs for the traveller's children, provided in their home province by someone other than an immediate family member.
Escort of Insured Children
If a traveller is hospitalized and unable to travel home with their children, the one-way flight and accompanying escort are covered.

  • Not only do we have emergency medical plans for retirees, but there are no stability requirements on most of our emergency medical plans for travellers under 70.
